Kuranda Beds (photo at left) for our Military Working Dogs
Patt Glenn, an SPCA member/worker from Florida has donated three Kuranda beds for our Military Working Dogs. and our veterinary contact in Afghanistan, Caroline, is excited for our Afghanistan-based dog recipients. If you are able to support our Sleep Tight Kuranda bed drive with the donation of a bed, it’s very simple to do. All you do is go to :
http://kuranda.com/donate/4732 and make your donation online. It’s simple, fast and the company actually ships the beds directly overseas for us to the point of contact on file. Right now that is our veterinary contact in Afghanistan. She will distribute from there. That point of contact will rotate throughout the theatre of operations as we begin to get beds for the dogs most in need. You also get a receipt immediately from Kuranda that can be used for tax purposes.

SGT Beltowski of the 1-2 AVN Regiment recently contacted us to let us know of the tragic loss of Apache, the 1-2 AVN mascot, in an accident. SGT Beltowski shares that Apache was much loved by the Soldiers who he was sent to support. As a mascot, his job was to simply be loved upon by everyone who was within arm's reach and in harm's way.
See our Apache Memorial Page for more details and photos, and learn how you can make a donation to MWDTSA in memory of Apache.
